One of the bright spots in the New York Knicks 2015-16 season was rookie power forward  Kristap Porzingis.

This 7 foot 3 inch 20 year old Latvian was one of the leagues sensational rookies in the past season, among rookies this season he was first in blocks, second in rebounds and third in scoring per game and received three rookie of the month awards.

KP ,as he is referred to by his fans has won the hearts of Knicks fans and has gotten attention from many of the NBA elite.

Porzingis is a threat in the paint and behind the arc, as he made 81 three pointers in his first season.

There is no doubt he is a special player and he is only going to get better as the Knicks try to improve over the summer.

They are in desperate need of a point guard, some one who can set up the other players and drive to the basket with execution.

Phil Jackson still hasn't named a head coach so who will lead the knicks next season?

This will be a pivotal year in the Phil Jackson era, as fans and management alike want to see significant improvement going forward.

Kristaps Porzingis has created chemistry with the elite part of this team, Carmelo Anthony, Robin Lopez, and rookie Jerian Grant.

Who will join these guys in the next season, I'm not sure but some of the current members will be gone and hopefully replaced by a more cohesive group.

I have to say i was very disappointed with this past season and like many Knicks fans I want this team to return to the Ewing days when we made the playoffs 15 years in a row.

Porzingis and company just might get us back to that style of play again.

Go Knicks!
