Pennsylvania State Police say two downstate New York men are being held in the Susquehanna County Jail in connection with the discovery of a large marijuana growing operation worth millions of dollars in Lenox Township.

Troopers say they searched properties on State Routes 2016 and 106 at around 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 2 and found  large-scale, clandestine indoor marijuana growing operations with plants in various stages of growth.

Officials with the State Police Crime and Patrol Units, State Police Financial Investigation Asset Forfeiture Unit, Troop F Forensic Services, Susquehanna County Detectives and officials with the Drug Enforcement Administration say the plants’ street value is estimated at more than three million dollars.

64-year-old Ze Xun Mei of Elmhurst, New York and 26-year-old Rui Min Jiang of New York City were arrested.

The Pennsylvania State Police Clandestine Laboratory Response Team helped dismantle the growing operations.

Mei and Jiang were sent to the Susquehanna County Correctional Facility on $750,000 bail.
