More Tapes of Former Governor Cuomo Released by NY A.G.
More transcripts are being released from testimony given during the investigation into allegations of misconduct by former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo that show several combative moments between the Democrat and investigators during questioning.
Transcripts released Monday, November 29 also shed new light on how CNN anchor Chris Cuomo lent assistance to defend his brother from sexual harassment allegations that forced him out of office.
Chris Cuomo offered to reach out to “sources,” including other reporters, to find out whether more women were going to come forward. He relayed what he was hearing to his brother’s advisers. At the same time, Chris Cuomo told investigators he spoke regularly with his brother, coaching him on his response. The TV journalist has said it was a mistake to act as his brother’s unofficial adviser.

Cuomo’s representatives continue to criticize the release of the transcripts and say New York Attorney General Letitia James is using the tapes for political gain. James is one of several Democrats in the race to take the former Governor’s job for a full term.
