I was very fortunate as a child and I didn't realize it until I got older. I was raised in a Christian-based family by my Mom and Dad. I really have NO idea if we had money troubles or not, my parents knew that God would provide and He was faithful in that promise.

When I was young, I thought that was the way it was for everyone. I know now that's not the case and it's gotten even worse in the last couple of years. I'm happy to know that there is an organization that is available for low-income single parents.

I'm talking about Mom's House at 770 Harry L. Drive in Johnson City. They've been helping single parents complete their education by providing FREE child care in an environment that helps the parent and the child.

Mom's House "Night Of Hope"

They are hosting their 34th annual "Night of Hope" at the Traditions at the Glen in Johnson City on Thursday, October 20th from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. This is a night where they highlight the successes of the individuals in the community that have made a difference.

You are invited to join them in their celebration but the deadline is almost here. You only have until October 11th to register to get your tickets. You can also call Mom's House at (607) 644-9972.

Mom's House is a non-profit state licensed facility that provides hope and support to those who want the best for themselves and their kids. You can find out more about their programs and services here.
