HEAP Enrollment Starts November 2nd
Steady Snow is already falling in the Rockies through Idaho and Montana, we are starting to see a few overnights in the upper 30’s and its getting colder in the Northeast.
If you’re having a hard time paying your heating bills, you may be able to get some help from the Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP)
The open enrollment for HEAP benefits is Monday November 2nd
HEAP helps low income families with the costs of heating in their homes.
Many of us are out of work or have fallen on hard times, and if you’re one of them, you may be eligible to receive help from the Home Energy Assistance Program.
HEAP may be able to help you, if you heat your home with Coal, Natural Gas, Electricity, Oil, Propane, Kerosene, Corn or Wood / Wood Pellets.
The funding money for HEAP will run out so make sure you are ready to apply when the window opens on Monday November 2nd
You could also be eligible for emergency help if you’re heating services are turned off or about to be shut down.
Many elderly people receive help from HEAP each year but if you’re in a low income family you could get some help from the Home Energy Assistance Program.
HEAP may also be able to help you repair your furnace or heating equipment with a heating repair and replacement benefit.
Make sure you are ready to apply on November 2nd winter is coming and in just a few short weeks we could see much colder temperatures.
