Today was Media Day for the Dick's Sporting Goods Open at En Joie Golf Course in Endicott. The day previewed the scheduled events that are part of the 2019 Dick's Sporting Goods Open.  The tournament is scheduled for August 12 through 18th. The list of PGA Tour Champions again features many of golf's all-time greats.  The Media Day highlight was the return of defending champion Bart Bryant.  Bryant was a one stroke winner over Michael Bradley in 2018.  He also won at En Joie in 2013.

Bryant is currently ranked 47th on the PGA Tour Champions money list for 2019 with $173,000 in prize earnings.  He has been working to recover from a wrist injury suffered shortly after last year's Dick's Open victory.  He says he plans to get as much playing time in as possible before his return to En Joie in August.

Tournament Director John Karedes released the list of golfers who have already committed to play in this year's Dick's Sporting Goods Open.  The list includes 2017 Dick's Sporting Goods Open Champion Scott McCarron who has won three tournaments already this season with earnings of over $1.7 million.

In all 68 players commitments were announced including a total of 45 PGA Tour Champions victories, 13 Majors on the Tour Champions circuit and 20 majors on the PGA Tour.  Karedes says there are still ten additions to be announced in the coming weeks.
