A Johnson City man has been named in a four-count indictment in connection with the death of a Binghamton man after an attack during an outdoor party.

20-year-old Caleb Casteline was indicted Wednesday for second-degree murder and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon. He also faces two felony counts of tampering with physical evidence.

Investigators believe Casteline repeatedly stabbed a Binghamton man on August 26 in the Town of Union. The attack is believed to have occurred off Robinson Hill Road at the site of the old IBM Gun Club.

22-year-old Q-Quan Richardson of Virgil Street died several hours after he was stabbed.

In a statement, Broome County District Attorney Michael Korchak said Casteline allegedly acted to hide evidence from investigators.
