Lockheed Martin Lands Navy Radar Contract

Bob Joseph/WNBF News [file][/caption]The Lockheed Martin Plant in Owego will be working on radar upgrades for the U.S. Navy MH-60R Seahawk helicopter fleet.

The close to $66 million contracts are expected to be filled in 2020.

The MH-60R Seahawk is used for anti-submarine warfare, search and rescue, medical evacuation, communications relay and supply delivery.

About 2,500 people work at the Lockheed Martin plant in Owego.
