I myself have won a few 50/50's at charity events in my lifetime. And each time I have I've donated at least half, if not all of it back to the cause.

But if I won a $10,000 raffle, I would probably give the nonprofit a couple grand and then use the rest to pay off some bills and have some fun.

According to WBNG, a local woman named Carol Schneider won $10,000 in the Boys & Girls Club of Western Broome raffle. The report says that Carol knew almost immediately that she was going to give the money back to the club.

The report said that the Boys & Girls Club was more than $7,000 below its fundraising goal, but because of this woman's generosity they will not have to cut any of their summer programs.

She went on to say that she hopes this inspires other people in the Broome County area to find a nonprofit organization that's important to them, and help them in any way they can.

I salute you Carol Schneider. That was an awesome thing you did
for the youth in Broome County.
