The New York Knicks are getting ready for the 2016-17 season with a new group of talented players and a goal to win more games and make the post season.

I have watched the three preseason games and have been impressed with this group of talented players.

Guards Courtney Lee and Chasson Randle have played well and made some good shots, but the play of Guard Brandon Jennings has really made and impression on the coaches and players, and if that's not enough how about Madison Square Garden chanting 'Brandon Jennings' on Monday night during their preseason win over the Washington Wizards.

I am also impressed with rookie centers Guillermo Hernangomez and Marshall Plumlee, its a shame they won't be able to keep all these guys on the roster this season.

We've only seen Derek Rose for one game as he has been dealing with a civil law suit on the west coast, and Center Joakim Noah has not seen any preseason action yet.

The play of Knicks rising star Kristaps Porzingis continues as he starts his 2nd season with the team.

Carmello Anthony is showing why he is the leader of this team, scoring 19 points with limited play on Monday night.

I know its only preseason but its hard not to get excited about the energy and quickness of this group.

The Knicks have 3 more preseason games on the schedule before the season opener on October 25th in Cleveland to take on the NBA champion Cavaliers.

It's too early to say how this team will do against the elite teams in the NBA, but I am still optimistic about how far they can go this year, we haven't had much to cheer about over the past few seasons.

Go Knicks!
