Keeping Neighbors Warm
It's that time of year again. Winter officially begins in two weeks as the nights continue to grow longer and the days continue to get colder. There are a lot of people in our area right now, that don't have a winter jacket to keep them warm. That's why we teamed up with the Oakdale Mall to collect jackets, either new or gently used. We're also collecting gloves, hats, and scarves, that we will have cleaned and they will be donated to four local nonprofit organizations. They will be given to the Salvation Army, The YWCA, The Rescue Mission, and Volunteers of America, to be distributed to the needy in our area.
So if you have a coat that doesn't fit you anymore, or that you've worn for years and you have recently replaced it with a new one, if your old jacket is still in good shape, we'll take it to give to the needy in the Southern Tier. All you have to do is stop by the Oakdale Mall and look for the Red Holiday House outside of Burlington.
Thank you from the Oakdale Mall and 99 1, The Whale.
