Baseball season is winding down (sorry, fans), but football season has begun, and basketball and hockey will follow soon, so there's plenty of sports to enjoy this fall and winter.

On the subject of basketball, specifically college basketball, Binghamton University is a part of the America East conference in Division 1, and has just announced their non- conference women's basketball schedule for the upcoming season.

According to the announcement, the BU women will kick off their 2026-27 season at Monmouth on November 2nd. This year, the Bearcats have 14 non-conference games on their schedule, and that includes six opponents who played in National post-season tournaments last year.

The away games will be at Fairfield, St. Bonaventure, and Army. The BU women will take a couple of home games to the Visions Veterans Memorial Arena. Those contests will be on November 22 against Daemon University and the University of Massachusetts on December 5th.

The reason for the games at the Arena is due to the fact that the Events Center is currently in the midst of a $10 million upgrade, which will include a new basketball court and spectator seating.

The Bearcat women's basketball team will head to Tampa to face the University of South Florida on November 18th, then compete in the Puerto Rico Classic on November 26th and 27th against the University of Texas-San Antonio and Providence.
Conference play will begin at home vs. UMBC on New Year's Eve. The team had a successful season last year, as they finished 20-13 overall, 10-6 in the America East Conference, and advanced to the second round of the WNIT last season.
