Broome County Sheriff Fred Akshar on Thursday (July 20) announced a very useful tool for residents of the county - a new smartphone app.

This app comes with many useful features. According to Sheriff Akshar, this new app is free download and was developed to help Broome County residents and visitors better connect with the Sheriff’s Office, in addition to improving communication and transparency between the law enforcement agency and the community.

Transparency and effective communication have been cornerstones of our administration’s new vision for the Broome County Sheriff’s Office from the very start.
