Opa! It's time for the annual Grecian Festival at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Vestal. The Annual Festival starts Thursday and runs through Sunday, noon to 9 Thursday through Saturday, and until 5 on Sunday.

The festival is full of awesome Greek food that includes Gyros, Baklava, Mousaka, Spanakopita, Greek salads, and of course the awesome Honey Puffs. And if you can't figure out what the food is by it's name, you are not alone. I think you have to be Greek to know what the names mean. But they have translations there that include pictures so you will know what you are getting before you order. There will also be Greek dancers, Greek music, a cafe and Marketplace, gift baskets and more.

The event itself is held at the church which is located at 4121 O'hara Drive in Vestal. The festival is held under huge tents as well as inside the church just in case it rains. There is also a free shuttle from the NYSEG parking lot on Old Vestal Road up to and from the festival.

Chris and I love going to as many of the local church festivals as we can. We go to the Greek Fest at least one night every year to get some great Greek food and to help support that church.
