Well, that week long vacation went by fast. Don't they always?

Okay, it wasn't actually a full week. I did have a show on Saturday July 4th, although I took my laptop and microphone, hooked into my neighbor's WiFi (well, he gave me his password to connect anytime, so I assume it was okay) and did the show from the deck of my camper located in the amazingly beautiful Endless Mountains of Pennsylvania. So I was technically on vacation all week, just took a small break to to my show remotely for one day.

I did have to make a few adjustments since it was a bit windy up on the mountain. Luckily I had a wind screen for my microphone, but I also had to take down my wind chimes since they were rockin' with noise, and turn off my waterfall lawn ornaments since the microphone picked up the sound of water a bit louder than I expected. As for the cows mooing in the neighboring farm, there was nothing I could do about that.

Aside from all that, my vacation was good. I always tell myself to take it easy and relax more, but for some reason, I can't sit still for long periods of time and do nothing. Several times I went into the nearest town to pick up some supplies, or just drive around the countryside.

I took the time to visit some of my camping friends whom I haven't yet seen this year, spent a few nights around a campfire and emptied my brother's camper refrigerator of beer.  Well, he doesn't visit often, and someone's got to drink it. Being the good brother I am, I replaced his beer on the 4th of July, but that evening, I broke open the new case and grabbed a few again before heading out to watch the fireworks show. Oh well, I'll replace it again, someday...maybe.
