Back on June 9th, I found myself partially paralyzed, not being able to lift my left leg. I could not lift it to save my life. I ended up spending 36 hours in the hospital where after an MRI, a CAT scan, and x-rays, it was determined that I had a slipped disc in my back and part of the disc chipped off and was pushing on the nerve which was causing a huge amount of swelling in my spine, and causing partial paralysis in my left leg.

I finally got in to see my doctor a week and a half after being discharged from the hospital. She was kind of surprised that the surgeon did not schedule an appointment with me prior to my appointment with her. She was also surprised that I wasn't in physical therapy yet, and then I wasn't given steroids or painkillers after I left the hospital. Well, today is the day I finally get in to see the surgeon who I saw twice while I was in the hospital. I'm hoping that he will prescribe physical therapy for me to start immediately. When I was leaving the hospital I was told no golf and no lifting anything over 10 lbs. Well, it's been three and a half weeks and I'm losing my mind. I'm hoping the physical therapy will heal my back if not, I will need surgery. In the hospital, the surgeon said there's a 50-50 chance this will heal on its own and the physical therapy could help. Well I'm hoping the physical therapy does help and the sooner I start, the sooner I will be back on the golf course. At least that's what I'm hoping for.

So I'm actually looking forward to going to see the doctor today. Wish me luck.
