My wife and I started the Mediterranean diet back in November. We go off it probably at least once a week. Every Sunday during football season, Thanksgiving, and any day we saw Christmas cookies became 'cheat days', but both of us have lost weight. As of this morning, I have lost 33 pounds. I would probably be down 50 pounds if I didn't have 'cheat days'.

I found a Strange But True story this morning about a guy who lost almost a hundred pounds and became a model. He's 33 years old and he lives in London. Gwilym Pugh, according to the Daily Mail, worked as an insurance salesman. While doing so, he put on 100 pounds. About 10 years ago he decided he wanted to get healthy. He started eating better and started working out and dropped almost a hundred pounds. He then changed his look by growing a hipster beard and ended up becoming a male model. He has become quite successful at modeling, including modeling gigs for GQ and David Beckham's grooming products.

Now there's no way in hell I'm going to become a model, but the story is kind of inspirational. Who knows, maybe I'll become a model for a nursing home when I get older. See before and after pictures of Pugh on the Daily Mail website.
