Hunting Season Is Here
This weekend, deer and bear hunting seasons open in the southern zone of New York State. It starts at sunrise on Saturday and runs through December 10th. The Associate Press reports that according to state officials, It is by far the most popular hunting season in New York with about 85% of New York's licensed hunters taking part. And, Broome County residents can now hunt with rifles.
I don't hunt, but I have a lot of friends that do. Some of them regard this time of year as their favorite time of the year. A lot of them head off to hunting camps with their friends for a week, if not more, of camping. Drinking, and playing card at night, and hunting during the day. A lot of people say how peaceful it is to sit quietly in the woods and enjoy the outdoors.
If you have any questions about hunting season, or guns, or even ammunition, you can always reach out to my friend Jamie at Pennsylvania Guns and Ammo I'm sure he can help you.
