Last night for Restaurant Week, I got to enjoy a lovely dinner at Little Venice and savored every bite!

If you've ever been ever been to a Restaurant Week then you probably know that you get a choice of an appetizer, main course and dessert. I chose the split pea soup with rice with I must say, I was skeptical at first about but as the waitress informed me, it was delicious!

Luckily for me, Little Venice had my absolute FAVORITE food for one of the entrees, Eggplant Parmigiana! If you've never had eggplant before, I highly recommend it. The eggplant is normally fried in olive oil or vegetable oil after covered in eggs and breadcrumbs. Then the eggplant is typically baked covered in marinara sauce and topped with mozzarella cheese. Needless to say, it did not disappoint me!

I had to take my canoli home because I was too stuffed at that point for dessert. It was a nice treat to have yesterday afternoon. You can always tell when such things are home made and which aren't and this was definitely homemade.

I will definitely be going back to Little Venice, great food, great service and enjoyable atmosphere!

I also wanted to point out of great it is that our community comes together to promote the different restaurants in our community two times out of the year for Restaurant Week. Just remember, Restaurant Week is not the only time to experience all of the different food venues Binghamton has. Make it a point to try some place new every month. There is no shortage of variety of restaurants in our area so share the love!
