Officials are advising anyone who was in the Greek House Restaurant in Westover between 4 and 8 p.m. on April 24 to self-quarantine and contact their health provider if they develop symptoms of the coronavirus as an employee of the Main Street restaurant has tested positive for COVID-19.

The 14 day incubation period will be over May 8th.  The employee has not worked since April 24 and did not work while symptomatic.

The Health Department also says anyone on a Greyhound bus that left the Port Authority in New York City at around 2:30 p.m. on April 27 and arrived in Syracuse at around 7:40 p.m. may have been exposed to COVID-19 by another passenger on the bus.  Any Broome County resident on that bus can call the Health Department at (607) 778-2802.

Broome County previously closed down the Greater Binghamton Transportation Hub in downtown Binghamton to commercial traffic and Greyhound Lines had agreed to the County Executive’s request not to stop in Broome County during the pandemic.

The statement from the Health Department did not indicate if officials thought the bus carrying the infected traveler had actually discharged passengers in Broome County.Photographer Captures The Solitude Sweeping The Southern Tier [Gallery]
