Full Capacity Now Permitted for Binghamton Rumble Ponies Games
More fans will be able to attend Binghamton Rumble Ponies games at Mirabito Stadium.
The team on Wednesday announced that the downtown venue will be able to operate at 100 percent capacity effective immediately.
The move follows the official lifting of New York's Covid-19 restrictions after 70 percent of the state's adults had received at least one vaccine dose.
According to a news release, the Rumble Ponies "are excited for our fans to return to a sense of normalcy that they have grown accustomed to over the past five years."
Baseball returned to Binghamton last month after a lengthy absence due to the pandemic.
Strict capacity and social distancing rules were in place for the first several home games. Fans were required to provide proof of vaccination to attend the first few contests.
Guidelines were gradually relaxed over the last few weeks as vaccination rates continued to rise and the number of new Covid cases dropped.
