New York State Police say a Seneca County man and a Tompkins County man are recovering in jail after being shot by a homeowner during a reported home invasion in the Town of Enfield.

The resident told troopers that at 7:21 a.m. July 25, two men broke into the home on Rumsey Hill Road and were shot after they refused to leave the property.

Investigators say they found 50-year-old Mark Ward of Covert and 32-year-old Frisco Meeks of Ithaca were driven to Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre by 38-year-old Jaimie Coleman.  The Trumansburg woman was arrested the same day and charged with felony burglary.

Ward and Meeks were both treated for gunshot wounds.They were charged with felony burglary when they were released from the hospital.

Ward and Meeks were sent to the Tompkins County Jail without bail while Coleman had bail set at $15,000.

The homeowner was not injured in the incident.
