The new owners are expected to rebrand the old IBM manufacturing site in Endicott and add a bit of color to some of its biggest buildings.

Phoenix Investors of Milwaukee acquired the 130-acre Huron Campus property last month.

Chris Pelto, Huron Real Estate Associates president, said Phoenix likely will rename the site.

In a telephone interview Monday, Pelto also said there are plans to paint a few of the largest buildings, including three along North Street that now are used primarily by BAE Systems.

Pelto said the new owners are consulting with BAE Systems on developing an appropriate color scheme.

The initial plan was to attempt to paint the buildings before winter but Pelto said it now appears that project won't get underway until spring.

Pelto said Phoenix also is working with Imperium representatives on signage and other aspects of the building that company will be using for its lithium-ion battery manufacturing plant.
