Driver to be Charged in Crash that Killed His Passengers in Pittsfield

New York State Police say the driver in a crash in Pittsfield that claimed the lives of his two passengers is facing charges.

Troopers say 21-year-old Tehya Gonzalez of Bainbridge and 21-year-old Cheyenn Aubry of Treadwell died in the crash shortly before 12:30 a-m July 15. 

Authorities say the 26-year-old driver, who has not been identified, faces criminal charges.

The crash happened when the vehicle carrying the women and the driver left the roadway near the 1100 block of County Route 13 in the Town of Pittsfield.

The investigation is continuing.
