A tractor-trailer operator sustained a head injury when the rig he was driving crashed on Interstate 86.

A section of the highway in Steuben County was closed for nearly three hours following the rollover Tuesday afternoon.

According to New York State Police, the crash occurred on I-86 westbound in the town of Hornellsville.

The Evening Tribune of Hornell reported the tractor-trailer loaded with logs rolled over on the highway around 2 p.m.

The newspaper reported the truck driver received "a few stitches" after he was taken to a nearby hospital.

The logs that were spilled were loaded onto another truck and hauled away from the scene.

Police, firefighters and medics were assisted at the scene by state Department of Transportation and the Department of Environmental Conservation.,
