This past week, the neophytes of the NBA tipped off in summer league play in Las Vegas. The Knicks draft choices and sophomores looked good as they went four and one in the tournament.

The Knicks first round draft choice Kristaps Porzingis showed his skills, blocking shots, posting up, scoring in the paint, and his abilities beyond the arc with a 3 point shot.

Jerian Grant showed speed and poise with his assists and breaking down the defense in the paint.

Thanasis Antetokounmpo scored 17 points in the finale against the Bucks, and Ricky Ledo joined Grant in the backcourt and combined for 26 points in the finale.

Langston Galloway picked up where he left off last season and showing why he could be a great bench player in the upcoming season.

I don't want to get too far into the upcoming season, keeping in mind these guys just matched up against other rookies.

The big test will be how they play against the veterans in real league action.

I'm sure there are still a few more pieces to the puzzle that Phil Jackson will unveil over the next several weeks, I can't wait to see the new team in action.

The upcoming schedule will be out in a few days.

Go Knicks!
