The NBA season is about three weeks away so lets talk New York Knicks.

Pre-season starts tomorrow night and we’ll get our first look at the starters and a new coaching staff headed by Phil Jackson in the front office.

How will the team be this year? I think most of us are optimistic that we’ll be a little better than last year, keeping in mind that this will be a season of transition and rebuilding.

I am most excited about Carmello resigning, the development of Tim Hardaway Jr, Cole Aldrich and Iman Shumpert, along with the possibilities of Amar’e Stoudmire and even JR Smith having a good year.

We have some new player acquisitions that could help us, like Jose Calderon, Samuel Dalembert and Travis Outlaw, along with some of the draft picks we got in the off season trade.

With an all new coaching staff that seem committed to playing out this season the best that they can, and looking forward to the cap money the team will have after this season.

It’s been over 40 years since New York has won an NBA championship, a generation has grown up, and a new one is watching now, so it’s long overdue.
