CVS Pharmacy Closing Another Broome County Store
CVS Pharmacy is continuing to reduce its presence in the Southern Tier as it prepares to shut down another store.
The Rhode Island-based company closed its store on Court Street in downtown Binghamton two months ago.
Now, CVS is advising customers that its store at 34 West State Street on city's North Side will be closing soon.
A sign at the entrance states "unfortunately this store will be going out of business" on March 1.
Another sign indicates prescriptions on file at the West State Street pharmacy will be sent to the store at 163 Robinson Street on the city's East Side.
The West State Street store will be the third operation in Binghamton CVS has closed.
A CVS Pharmacy at 68 Main Street on the West Side was closed in January 2019.
CVS corporate representatives did not return phone calls seeking information on the series of Binghamton store closings.
It's not known whether the company is planning to close more stores in Broome County this year.
