COVID cases continue an upward jump in New York State, including in the Southern Tier and Central New York as officials continue to appeal to stragglers to get vaccinated to stop the spread.

The increase in cases could even impact the Great New York State Fair that is due to swing open its gates in just a couple weeks after being cancelled last year due to the pandemic.

Onondaga County is among the areas on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention map showing a significant spread of the virus.
