College Basketball Playoffs Have Been Exciting This Year
And how was your weekend? I don't know about you, but my favorite time time of the weekend is Saturday mornings. There's just something about the beginning of your weekend to make you feel good.
And Saturday morning is just the beginning of hopefully two days to do whatever you want, or tackle whatever projects you need to tackle. My worst part of the weekend? You would think I'd answer Sunday evening, since that means the end of our two days of fun. But for me, I start to get bummed out around midday. I don't know why.
Anyway, this weekend I got to enjoy some great college basketball playoff action. Sad to see the Syracuse Orange men's basketball team end their run, but happy that they got as far as they did, and really excited to watch the close game between Oral Roberts and Arkansas. I really thought the Golden Eagles were going to pull off another upset, and they almost did. Great basketball action right there.
And then the overtime game on Sunday between UCLA and Alabama. Wow. I couldn't believe it when the Crimson Tide sent the game into overtime at the buzzer with a three-pointer. I was rooting for the underdog Bruins. But they didn't disappoint in overtime. It's like UCLA was on a mission to win, and they were. They won handily.
It will be exciting to see how the tournament progresses this weekend. Will the underdogs come through again? Personally, I am rooting for the Gonzaga Bulldogs to win it all. Why? I just to see a team go undefeated. It's been a long time since that was happened. And that was Indiana winning the championship game ending their season at 32-0 during the 1975-1976 college basketball season.
