The Clean Sweep Program looks to provide job-seekers with skills while providing extra hands for everything from flower planting to cleaning up after parades, around river banks and following flooding.

Clean Sweep has only been in operation since March and organizers say many participants have gone on to the Broome-Tioga Workforce Opportunity Impact Program, graduating and starting full-time jobs.

The program is looking for public or not-for-profit agencies that need a helping hand in completing small projects.  The work would not replace a paid employee.

Projects can include assisting agencies and directors with tidying up after parades, golf tournaments or other gatherings, beautifying parks or public spaces, tree pruning and cleaning parks, riverbanks and the aftermath of flooding.
