Check Your Bill, Spectrum Cable Has Started to Pay New Yorkers Back

If you get your internet service from Charter/Spectrum Cable, you might want to check your latest bill.

According to WKBW, the company has started its one-time credits to New York customers, which stems from their fraud settlement with the New York State Attorney General.

According to WKBW, Charter Spectrum has agreed to pay certain customers 174.2 million dollars to settle the allegations against them that they defrauded some of their internet customers.

A picture of a bill on their website shows one customer got a credit of $129.75. It's not known if the refunds have been awarded to customers in the Binghamton area yet.

I myself have their internet service. I've had it for years dating back to when it was Time Warner's Road Runner service. We are set up to have our bill automatically withdrawn from a bank account, so I'm hoping they won't charge us for the next few months.

Keep an eye on your bill over the next few months to see if you get you are part of the settlement. If you don't get a refund, you might want to call Spectrum to ask if you are entitled to one.
