This Day in Rock History

There are many times I wish we could whisk back in time to see things that we did not get to witness.

That evening, we were to see many acts hosted by Ed. One act was about to make their live debut in the United States.

February 8th, 1973 was a sad day for the music world. It was on that day that Max Yasgur passed away from a heart attack

Jimmy learned to play guitar at a young age, and we're glad he did, having gone on to be the guitarist and founding member of Led Zeppelin.

The album didn't exactly break any chart records at the time of its release.

Better known to us as John Paul Jones or Jonesy, he was born on this day in 1946. That makes this rock-n-roller 71 years young.

One of the great albums to emerge in 1973 included Steely dan's 'Countdown to Ecstasy.'

The date is June 16th, 1967. The place is Monterey, California.

1976. It's a few years back, and I'm trying to remember what was going on in my life that year. If my memory is correct, I was in my 3rd year of college at a 2 year community college.
