Broome Takes Input on Waterfront Uses
Broome County is holding two meetings August 3 to talk about a county-wide Local Waterfront Revitalization Program to marry water-dependent uses with recreational opportunities.
The meetings take place at 11 a.m. at the Coal House on the Vestal Rail Trail and 5 p.m. at Broome Bands Together at Otsiningo Park.
Another in-person public meeting is planned for Saturday, August 7 at the Windsor Farmers Market on the Windsor Village Green. That meeting will be from 10 a.m. to noon.
A virtual meeting will be held Wednesday, August 4 at 5:30 p.m. Residents wishing to join that session must register on the project website at www.broomewaterfront.com/meetings.
This is the second set of meetings on the plans. Discussion is to focus n the future of the County’s waterfront areas, including the Susquehanna, Chenango, Tioughnioga and Delaware Rivers and Nanticoke Creek.
Participants will have a chance to learn about some potential projects and share ideas and thoughts of their own.
