Chenango County reported 62 new cases for the weekend for a total of 2,237. Cortland County added 29 cases for a total of 3,362.  Delaware found 15 new positive results for the coronavirus for a total of 1,280 cases since the start of the pandemic.  Tioga County had 21 new cases from the February 6 report for a total of 2,652.

The weekly results from Pennsylvania normally noted on February 8 were delayed due to technical issues and were expected to be updated February 9.

Meanwhile, Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf said last week was the first in many that saw counties with lower than five percent positivity rates.  He says all 67 counties reported lower than 20 percent.  The Democrat urged Pennsylvanians to continue the fight by wearing masks, avoiding gatherings and washing hands.
