Broome County Native to Become Ross Park Zoo’s Latest Director

The Board of Directors at Ross Park Zoo has hired a new Executive Director.

Phillip Ginter will take over the job at the Binghamton Zoo on March 25^th.

Ginter is a life-long Broome County resident and has a long history with local non-profit organizations like the Broome County Arts Council and the United Way of Broome County with experience in grant-writing and program development.  The board said Phillip’s background with not-for-profit operations will pair well with the zoo’s existing animal care team.

Visitors can meet the new director on opening day scheduled for April 20^th and Members Only Night April 27^th.

Binghamton’s zoo on the South Side is scheduled to be open on weekends, weather-permitting from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. starting Saturday, March 16.
