Broken Tail Light Leads to Weapon and Drug Charges in Candor
A Tioga County man is accused of having drugs and an illegal weapon after a Sheriff’s Deputy stopped a vehicle for a defective tail lamp in the Village of Candor.
Authorities say 28-year-old Brett White of Candor is charged with three counts of criminal possession of a weapon, felony having a loaded firearm, felony criminal possession of an assault weapon, two felony counts of possession of a large capacity ammunition feeding device, three misdemeanor counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of marijuana as well as having no or insufficient tail lamps.
Meanwhile, 39-year-old Rebecca Walsh of Candor was charged during the same September 27th traffic stop with two misdemeanor counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
White was jailed on $20,000 bail while Walsh was ordered to appear in Village of Candor Court next month.
