Blood Pressure Medicine Recall

If you or someone you love takes blood pressure medicine make sure it is not one that is being recalled. According to the U.S.Food and Drug Administration, there is a voluntary recall of several drug products containing the active ingredient Valsartan.

Valsartan is used to treat high blood pressure and heart failure. Not all products containing Valsartan are being recalled but some of them are due to an impurity, N-Nitrosodimethylamine (NDMA) which has been classified as a probable human carcinogen.

Based on results from laboratory tests it's a substance that could cause cancer. Here is a list of the medicine and is being recalled:
