Binghamton will host the 2020 Eastern League All-Star Game.  The announcement came this (Thursday) afternoon from Eastern League president Joe McEacharn at NYSEG Stadium.  The Binghamton Rumble Ponies will host the game which showcases the Eastern League's top talent.  McEacharn told WNBF News that the social media campaign promoting Binghamton as an All-Star Game host city played a major role in securing the bid for the game.

Rumble Ponies' owner John Hughes announced several weeks ago that his team was going to make a concerted effort to bring the All-Star game to Binghamton and NYSEG Stadium.  The All-Star game is a two day event and includes a Home Run Derby and Fan Fest.

This year's Eastern League All-Star Game was held in Manchester, New Hampshire, the home of the New Hampshire Fisher Cats.  The All-Star Game could generate between one million and one point five million dollars for Binghamton and the surrounding area. No date for the game has been set.
