Binghamton Sex Offender Gets Prison for Failing to Register
Prosecutors say a Broome County registered sex offender has been sentenced to state prison for failing to provide a change of address to authorities.
According to a news release from the district attorney's office, 32-year-old Kyle Finch of Binghamton pleaded guilty to failure to register as a second offense, a felony.
Authorities say Finch lived in the city of Binghamton from July 2019 to May 2021 while failing to register his new address with police as required by state law.
Finch had been convicted in Chenango County in 2016 of disseminating indecent material to a minor. He later was designated a Level 2 sex offender subject to state registration requirements.
