Another arrest has been made in a Binghamton police investigation that centered on two owners of three popular downtown bars.

Authorities on Monday announced that 42-year-old Leor Kweller of Brooklyn had been charged with third-degree rape, a felony.

Kweller was charged in connection with a November 27 incident at 141 Washington Street. He was arraigned in Binghamton City Court and released.

Kweller is the brother of 41-year-old Yaron Kweller of Vestal who was charged with third-degree rape last Wednesday.

33-year-old Jordan Rindgen of Binghamton last Wednesday was charged with two felony counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance as part of the city police investigation.

Yaron Kweller and Rindgen are part of the ownership group of The Colonial, Dos Rios Cantina and the Stone Fox Bar.

Binghamton police detectives last week had said a third arrest was anticipated in the case, which has received intense publicity since word of the alleged incident began to circulate on social media sites.

In a news release, police said the incident remains on ongoing investigation. People with information may contact the Binghamton police detective division at (607) 772-7080.

The downtown businesses were closed for weeks due to the publicity surrounding the allegations and the police investigation. The bars eventually reopened with other members of the ownership group trying to distance themselves from those who now face criminal charges.
