70-year old James Wales murdered a former Binghamton Police officer’s young daughter in 1984 and is serving 33-years-to-life in prison

12-year-old Cheri Lindsey was brutally murdered in her north side neighborhood while making the rounds on her paper route.

Prior to both parole hearings, thousands of petitions were sent to the Department of Justice urging parole for Wales be denied.  The latest hearing this week has also ended with denial of parole.

The next parole hearing for Wales would be in March of 2021.
