Binghamton Death Investigation: Body Found in Bank Parking Lot
Police are investigating the death of a person whose body was discovered in the lot of a city bank branch office.
The body - believed to be that of a man - was found around 5:15 a.m. near the M&T Bank building at 149 Robinson Street on the city's East Side.
Patrol officers secured the area with yellow tape. The clothed body was located between the bank office and the drive up ATM units.
The body apparently had been in the parking lot just west of the CVS Pharmacy for an extended period of time.
Officers questioned nearby residents and identified security cameras that may have been recording the area.
A Binghamton police detective supervisor could not be reached to discuss the status of the investigation.
A manager at the M&T Bank would not say whether the branch office opened as scheduled. She declined to comment on the police activity.
