Summer may be starting to wind down as vacations come to an end this month, and the school year begins for colleges and K-12 schools in late August and early September throughout the Southern Tier of New York and Northeastern Pennsylvania, but that doesn't mean it's time to roll up the sidewalks.

September is always a busy month for things happening and activities to be a part of throughout the Twin Tiers. One such event is the Binghamton Blues on the Bridge.

This year's event, marking its 23rd year, will take place on Saturday, September 13, 2025, from Noon to 10 p.m. Throughout the day, music from various bands will feature a mix of pop, rock, soul, and blues genres. Blues on the Bridge is located around the South Washington Street Binghamton bridge.

According to organizers Donny Wilkins and Tom Martinos, they expect 2,500 to 5,000 attendees at the one-day event. They note that Blues on the Bridge brings together talented local bands to give them a larger stage and a bigger audience than they have at bar gigs.

In addition to live music throughout the day, there will be food and merchandise vendors at the festival as well. The announcement from the organizers of Blues on the Bridge shows around nine bands performing on September 13.
