Bearcat Kai Moon is America East Player of the Year

Binghamton University basketball standout Kai Moon is the America East Player of the Year.  The announcement came this afternoon.  Moon was also named to the America East All-Defensive Team.  Binghamton High School grad Olivia Ramil was selected as a member of the conference's All-Academic Team as well.

Heading into Wednesday night's America East playoffs Moon leads the conference and ranks 11th in the nation in scoring averaging 20.4 points per game. She has been named the America East Player of the Week five teams this season.  That is the most such awards ever received by a Bearcat in a single season.  In addition to her scoring prowess Moon leads the conference in steals averaging 2.3 per game and also leads America East with 2.97 three-point field goals per game.

Ramil is a member of the National College Athlete Honor Society.  She is third in team scoring averaging 8.4 points per game and third in rebounding averaging 5.7 per game.  She is second in blocks for the Bearcats and sixth in America East averaging .9 per game.
