There apparently won't be a new album by Bad Company, and we still don't have official word about a rumored possible tour with Joe Walsh, but the news isn't all bad for fans of the veteran band. Atlantic Records is preparing a live album featuring Bad Company's classic-era lineup.

Bad Company Live in Concert 1977 & 1979, a two-disc set due on April 29, finds Paul Rodgers, Simon Kirke, Mick Ralphs and Boz Burrell performing on May 23, 1977, at the Summit in Houston, and then on March 9, 1979, at London's Empire Pool.

There's also a cover of "Hey Joe" that was recorded on June 29, 1979, at the Capitol Center in Washington, D.C. You can see the complete track listing for Bad Company Live In Concert 1977 & 1979 below.

Bad Company have released only one other live album featuring Rodgers, Kirke, Ralphs and Burrell – 2006's Live in Albuquerque – but the project was quickly withdrawn over legal concerns. What You Hear Is What You Get, from 1993, featured Ralphs and Kirke with turn-of-the-'80s Rodgers replacement Brian Howe; Merchants of Cool, released in 2002, included only Rodgers and Kirke. More recently, two Bad Company concert DVDs (2010's Hard Rock Live and 2011's Live at Wembley) did not include the late Burrell in their lineups.
