The Springville boy was reportedly driving at an unsafe speed October 15 when he failed to negotiate a curve and hit several roadside concrete barriers.

Troopers say the Yamaha YFZ450 ATV traveled over the barriers and hit several large rocks along the bank of White Creek before coming to rest in the creek.

The authorities say the Susquehanna County boy was wearing a helmet.
