The decade of bell bottom jeans was almost over. The 1970s were about to make way for a new decade full of spandex and hair bands.

In 1979 though, Pink Floyd was still proving that Rock-n-Roll was alive and well with the album 'The Wall.' The double album is one of the best ever to come from a rock band.

One of the hits off the album, Another Brick In The Wall (part 2) was released in the UK late in November 1979, and the US release came in early December. In the UK, the song spent five weeks at the top of the UK singles chart.

Over four million copies have been sold so far. Many great tunes came out of 'The Wall', which was Pink Floyd's 11th studio album, including Mother, Hey You, Comfortably Numb and Run Like Hell.
