First, I want to thank you for being a devoted listener of 99.1 The Whale. The Whale Nation is strong as it's always been in the almost 45 years I've been privileged to be at this radio station. Here's to wishing you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving weekend and holiday season.
As you know (and I've been getting a lot of calls, emails, and texts,) we have made it a tradition to air Arlo Guthrie's classic tune, 'Alice's Restaurant Massacree' on Thanksgiving Day. This tradition for the Whale Nation has been going on as long as I've been here, and maybe even longer. And the tradition will continue this year.
I know your Thanksgiving Day can be busy (and probably stressful), so we'll air the classic at 10 a.m., 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day. Plus, I'll air another classic for you - Adam Sandler's 'Thanksgiving Song' as well. The times for that song will be at 12 Noon and again at 4 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day.

And that's not all. Beginning Black Friday at 10 a.m., after the Free Beer and Hot Wings Show, Jen Austin will kick off a three-day '2nd Helping Weekend' for the Whale Nation. Each hour, we'll air double-shots of great tunes from your favorite Classic Rock artists and bands. It's like 'Two for Tuesday' but on a Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Don't forget our awesome weekend show 'Time Warp' with Bill St. James on Sunday from 8 a.m. to Noon.
Take us wherever you go with the free Whale App, and you can hear us on The Whale website, smart speakers with Alexa and Google Home, and of course on your radio at 99.1 FM. Happy Thanksgiving!
