It's been a long time since I've been to Washington D.C. I used to visit about once a year, either on business or to vacation. I've visited our Nation's Capitol in every season, and even in the dead of winter, it's just as magnificent as it is in summer.

Most of my visits to the Capitol have been to the Smithsonian Museums, including the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center in Virginia, which is an extension of the Air and Space Museum on the Mall in Washington, D.C. I love being up close to some of the aircraft  that are a part of our aviation history. It's a humbling experience to stand next to the Discovery Space Shuttle and the Enola Gay.

Even though I have been to many museums and attractions in Washington, D.C. there are a few I have not been to, but hope to see on my next visit, now that things are starting to get better from the pandemic.  Here are five that are on my must see list to our Nation's Capital.
